Week 4 of the #Wovember2016 instagram photo competition…

As we mentioned in this post Wovember has been hosting an annual photo contest on instagram. You still have a few days left to enter! All you have to do is use the hashtag #Wovember2016 on any images which show the ways in which you are appreciating and celebrating sheep and wool this Wovember. You can see some of the diverse range of entries here! Every week of Wovember, lifelong wool lover Joanne Spittler has shared her favourites as a kind of woolly round up of some of the awesome stuff taking place around the world this Wovember.

This final week’s pick tells the story of wool from sheep to garment in three short chapters:

Kat Oliver is seen here feeding her very woolly Shetland Flock:

Jed Baxter shows the intense work that is the sheering of sheep:

And finally Justyna shares this very touching image of an elderly lady knitting with the wool.

Thanks so very much to Joanne for her thoughtful rummages through the #wovember2016 entries to find images that tell wonderful stories of wool.

Please keep on tagging images with #Wovember2016 until the end of the month. We will be announcing the winner (and the prizes, for this and the WovemberWAL) in December
